Madagascar: opposition censored
New measures have been brought in to prevent Madagascar’s state-owned media from covering opposition demonstrations. Soldiers also forcibly closed Radio Mada, a station that supports former President Marc Ravalomanana, on 19 April. Police used tear gas and stun grenades against a group of people who protested this, killing one person. Read more here
