Hundreds of political workers in Pakistan have been arrested ahead of a nationwide march due to take place on Thursday.
Spearheaded by opposition leader Nazwar Sharif, the march is being coordinated to start at different cities throughout the country and converge in the capital Islamabad on Monday. By invoking a public ordinance banning the gathering of more than four people the government hopes it will prevent the attendance of supporters of the opposition.
