ARTS AWARD SHORTLIST

The Arts category of Index on Censorship’s Freedom of Expression Awards honours artists and arts producers whose work challenges repression and injustice and celebrates artistic free expression.

This year’s nominees are Atena Farghadani (Iran), Jota Ramos (Colombia) and Aleksandra Skochilenko (Russia).

The Arts category is generously supported by the New Generation Europe Foundation, promoting education and public awareness of the history, arts, language, and music of Russia and Eastern Europe.
